Dr. Cátia Figueiredo is a marine biologist focusing on the impact of climate change and emerging chemical stressors on marine life. With a Biology and Marine Ecology background, she earned her Ph.D. exploring the effects of Rare Earth Elements on aquatic organisms. Her awards include National Geographic funding, 2022 Toxics Best Ph.D. Thesis and 2022 SPECO award for best doctorate in Ecology. She is the co-Principal Investigator of the EMINENT project. With several publications, conference presentations, and travel grants, she is committed to unraveling the intricate interactions between climate change, pollutants, and marine ecosystems.
