Final Workshop of the SpilLess Project - First-line response to oil spills based on native microorganisms cooperation.

 

The SpilLess project has developed an integrated and environmentally friendly solution that can be applied as a first line of response to oil spills associated with ship accidents, offshore oil platforms, ports or other industrial complexes. The SpilLess approach integrates native microorganisms with the capacity to biodegrade oil (bioremediation), incorporated in unmanned autonomous vehicles. The project team, coordinated by CIIMAR, integrates research institutions and companies (INESC TEC, University of Vigo, ACSM, Biotrend and MARLO) from three countries (Portugal, Spain and Norway).

 

The workshop of the project SPILLESS will take place on March 27, Wednesday, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., at CIIMAR's headquarters.
