CAL–AQUA course | 16 - 20 DECEMBER (42h)

The Interdisciplinary Center for Marine and Environmental Research (CIIMAR) will host the 16th Edition of the LABORATORY AQUATIC ANIMAL SCIENCES COURSE (CAL-AQUA) from 16-20 December 2019 at CIIMAR, Porto Cruise Terminal.  

The course of 42h is accredited by the University of Porto, corresponding to 6 ECTS (credit units).

 

The CAL-AQUA course is intended for teachers, researchers, master and doctoral students and technicians who need to acquire training in the field of Aquatic Laboratory Animals, with particular emphasis on aquatic vertebrates (fish and amphibians).

 

The course is in accordance with the criteria established by the Food and Veterinary Department of the Federation of European Laboratory Animal Science Associations (FELASA) for Laboratory Animal Science - "Category B", corresponding to functions (a), (c) and (d) defined by Directive 2010/63/EU. The frequency and approbation at this course allows to obtain certification as "Researcher" or "Research Technician" for the accomplishment of animal experimentation.

 

Number of vacancies: 20 (minimum 18)

Application deadline: NOVEMBER 01, 2019

Fee: 400 euros (350 euros for CIIMAR collaborators)
