SeaBee – “Norwegian Infrastructure for drone-based research, mapping and monitoring in the coastal zone” is an initiative to develop drone-based services for use in coastal and aquatic research, mapping and monitoring of habitats, animal communities, and anthropogenic impacts. By combining aerial drones and sophisticated sensors with state-of-the-art machine learning, drone data can provide thematic environmental mapping and targeted object detection. SeaBee aims to make environmental data available through cloud solutions to easy-accessed GIS (Geographical Information System) web portals, for free. To researchers, management authorities, technology industry, university students and other interested partners. This talk will present the SeaBee project and provide examples of applications relevant to coastal monitoring and environ
