CIIMAR will hold a Euromarine Foresight Workshop -  "Modelling Ocean Plastic Litter in a Changing Climate: Challenges and Mitigations" which is organized by CIIMAR, the Marine and Environmental Sciences Centre (MARE),  the Instituto Español de Oceanografia (IEO) and the Istituto Nazionale di Oceanografia e di Geofisica Sperimentale (OGS).

The workshop will focus on a number of high profile keynote speakers and the goal is to provide a forum of debate regarding the emerging issue of pollution by plastics in the marine environment and together discuss the challenges and potential of using simulating tools (modelling) to help to predict the potential effects of plastics (from nanoplastics to macroplastics) in marine ecosystems.
