Title: Harness the power of Next Generation Sequencing: Discover the applications of Metagenomics, WGS and RNA-Seq in your research

Next-generation sequencing has revolutionised today's research, shifting the paradigm of genomics to address biological questions at a genome-wide scale. In this seminar, we will discuss how genomics and transcriptomics have revolutionised our understanding of the molecular mechanisms underlying biological phenomena. At the same time, different researchers from CIIMAR will explain how they have applied NGS to their research projects.

 

Name: Oriol Alejo-Valle (Novogene Europe)

Oriol holds a PhD in Molecular Medicine by the University of Halle (Germany), where he took advantage of several state-of-the-art genomic and transcriptomic platforms to unravel molecular determinants of leukaemia. At Novogene, he now takes advantage of his experience with NGS to help customers in their sequencing projects, from sample extraction to analysis, aiming to provide end-to-end support and facilities for their research.

 

The seminar will take place at CIIMAR headquarters (3rd floor Auditorium).
