CIIMAR in partnership with the Associação Pró-Maior - Segurança dos Homens no Mar has certified  21 professional fishermen from Alto Minho to conduct scientific sampling campaigns, in the scope of the project CientAmostra. This certification will allow these professionals to be employed by various entities, extending their professional activities and diversifying its sources of income.

All certificates fishermen have been integrated in a free online database where it can be found all necessary information for contracting these services.

The CientAmostra (Scientific Certification for conducting sampling campaigns) project was co-financed by PROMAR and the Coastal Action Group of Alto Minho and is coordinated by Sandra Ramos from CIIMAR
