ARCOPOL platform partnership, funded by the Atlantic Area Transnational Programme, which counts with CIIMAR's active participation as partner, was recently awarded by the European Comission, in the 3rd Atlantic Stakeholder Platform Conference in Dublin with the Atlantic Project Award for best project on Atlantic Marine and coastal environment.
The Atlantic Project Awards are designed to honour outstanding success stories in the incorporation and scaling up of best practices at regional and national levels promoting the key priorities of Atlantic Strategy and the implementation of the Atlantic Action Plan.
Arcopol Platform aims to improve maritime safety in the Atlantic area and reinforce the protection of the coastal regions from maritime pollution.
