CIIMAR launched the 4th edition of BYT program

CIIMAR launched the 4th edition of an undergraduate program -  Blue Young Talent (BTY) - to attract young talents of the University of Porto (UP) in the field of marine sciences and biotechnology, in partnership with industries and PMEs.

The program aims to provide an advanced training in a stimulating scientific environment for the best graduation students of UP, in which they will have the opportunity to participate in a range of curriculum enrichment activities that will ensure greater employability and preparation for future post-graduation research programs.

Successful candidates will benefit from a remunerated scientific internship of 10 months included in a CIIMAR research team in the areas of marine biotechnology, global change and ecosystems services, aquaculture and nutrition.

The BYT will be finalized with a public presentation of the research work developed by the young talents, where a prize award will be announced for the best scientific project.

Who can apply?

Students from the University of Porto who have completed the second year of BA.

How and when can I apply?

By completing and submitting the online form available here during the period of tender from 1 – 26 of July 2017.

Financing

Students selected will be awarded with a monthly scholarship of 150 € during the BYT CIIMAR attending period, October 2017 to July 2018.

Selection

Students will be selected based on the average of the first two years of undergraduate chairs. Results will be announced on July 31, 2017.
