“Bioaqua solutions” - a project that offers solutions inspired by nature for aquatic ecosystems, based on the optimization of natural processes, making them multifunctional and self-sustainable won the 1^st Edtion of the BIP - Business Ignition Programme 2017

Throughout three month all participants had the opportunity to develop the various elements of their business model and develop or improve their corporate image and build contact channels such as websites and miscellaneous dissemination materials, with the specialized support of mentors and promoted by the Startups Factory.

“Bioaqua Solutions” from Ana Ferreira (CIIMAR), Cristina Calheiros (CIIMAR) and Ester Almeida (FEP). won approximately 4700 euros (1500 euros in cash and the rest in business mentoring and support services). In addition, Ana Ferreira was also awarded, by PBS, with a full scholarship for a Magellan MBA.

BIP is a joint initiative from CIIMAR, INESC TEC and U. Porto Innovation that aims to build and test alternative business models for technologies developed in academia.
