Eliana Pereira was present at The Second Summit of Young Ocean Leaders as a parallel event to the Our Ocean conference in Malta, co-hosted by European Union and the Sustainable Oceans Alliance.

Eliana was one of the 100 competitively-selected youth participants from around the world to have the chance to put forward and gain valuable support for their proposed ocean solutions.  She presented the MarInfo: the use of unmanned maritime vehicles (UMV) to protect our oceans project.

During this two-day event, the students participated in workshops, developed action-oriented strategies to implement ocean commitments in their respective communities, and strengthened their leadership skills. Youth leaders were also invited to join the main conference on its second day – a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to network with the world’s top ocean leaders.
