CIIMAR will participate in the new European project EnhanceMicroAlgae - Industrial opportunities of added value for microalgae in the Atlantic Area. This project, coordenated by ANFACO-CECOPESCA (Spain) and funded by the Interreg Atlantic Cooperation Program with approximately 2.5 million euros, will facilitate the transfer of technological information between Research Centers and companies in different areas of application of microalgae such as nutrition, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals .

To achieve this objective the project will carry out an analysis of competencies, gaps and opportunities, and will facilitate the development of case studies and decision support tools, the incorporation of emerging technologies in industrial processes and the promotion of spin-offs and qualified employment.
