CIIMAR hosting Fulbright from U.S. Scholar Program

CIIMAR will be the host institution to the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program attributed to Dr. Arthur Bogan from the North Carolina Museum of Natural Sciences.

Dr. Arthur Bogan will be doing research in Invertebrate Zoology, as part of a project “A collaborative review of systematics of freshwater mussels from three Asian tribes of Unionidae (Mollusca: Bivalvia: Unionidae)” with the Aquatic Ecology and Evolution Group of CIIMAR.

Recipients of Fulbright awards are selected on the basis of academic and professional achievement as well as record of service and demonstrated leadership in their respective fields. Dr. Bogan is one of over 800 U.S. citizens who will teach, conduct research, and/or provide expertise abroad for the 2018-2019 academic year through the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program.
