INSEAFOOD number one publication on Biology Open ranking

The article “Viability of dietary substitution of live microalgae with dry Ulva rigida in broodstock conditioning of the Pacific oyster (Crassostrea gigas)” is the number one of October reading ranking of the prestigious journal Biology Open.

 

The work, focused the microalgae replacement by dry macroalgae in the reproductive success and biochemical composition of the Pacific oyster during broodstock conditioning, was submitted under the INSEAFOOD work package 3.1 optimization of algae cultivation conditions as food and feed ingredients and the work package3.2  modulation of oysters rearing conditions towards improved growth. The article now published by the open access journal Biology Open and was accessed 261 times over the month of October and downloaded by 105 users.

 

The work “Viability of dietary substitution of live microalgae with dry Ulva rigida in broodstock conditioning of the Pacific oyster (Crassostrea gigas)” was supported by Project INNOVMAR- Innovation and Sustainability in the Management and Exploitation of Marine Resources [NORTE-01 0145-FEDER- 000035] within the line ‘INSEAFOOD, Innovation and valorization of seafood products’, funded by the Northern Regional Operational Programme (NORTE2020) through the European Regional Development Fund.
