On May 24, CIIMAR received the delegation of representatives of the Chinese embassy, ​​including China's former Ambassador in Portugal Mr. Cai Run, as well as members from the Guandong University of Foreign Studies and from the University of Porto.

 

During the visit to CIIMAR, the members of the delegation had the opportunity to know more about the research center, to understand the role of the ocean based research and its relevance for the Bioeconomy in Portugal and to the rest of the world, and also reinforce the relationship between the members of the delegation and CIIMAR.

 

After the visit to CIIMAR, the delegation was accompanied by Rector of the University of Porto, António Sousa Pereira, the Vice-Rector Maria de Lurdes Fernandes and Pro-Rector João Veloso.
