On 5, 6 and 7 September 2019, the XVIII National Meeting of Science Education (XVIII ENEC) | III International Seminar of Science Education (III ISSE) – “Science Education: crossing paths, connecting knowledge” took place at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP). CIIMAR was represented by the researcher Cristina Calheiros that integrated the Organizing and Scientific Committees and gave two workshops about “Environmental Education”.

 

Several researchers from CIIMAR had also presented poster and oral communications in their fields of expertise.

 

There were 258 participants from 15 countries (Portugal, Angola, Brasil, China, Colômbia, Islândia, Israel, Moçambique, Noruega, Eslovénia, Espanha, Reino Unido, Timor and EUA).

 

In this edition it was given emphasis to the knowledge of Science Education crossing with areas, such as Communication and Neurosciences, aiming to promote an interdisciplinary approach and an exchange of expertise among professionals from different areas with the goal of mutual enrichment.
