COST Action 17133 - “Implementing nature based solutions for creating a resourceful circular city”, meeting was held in Finland between 16-18 Sep and CIIMAR was represented by the researcher Cristina Calheiros that presented the work on “Nature Based Solutions towards responsible cities: Green roofs in urban planning” in collaboration with the ANCV - the Portuguese National Association of Green Roof, which CIIMAR is a member.

This COST Action aims to establish a network testing the hypothesis that: “A circular flow system that implements NBS for managing nutrients and resources within the urban biosphere will lead to a resilient, sustainable and healthy urban environment”. Also intents to build an interdisciplinary platform for connecting city planners, architects, system designers, circular economists, engineers and researchers from social and natural sciences that develop systems allowing cities to cope with the challenges described above.
