ReDEFine project organizes course in remote sensing and applications of Copernicus European program

The theoretical-practical course of "Introduction to remote sensing and environmental applications of the Copernicus European program. Quality of inland waters ”took place on the 3rd and 4th of February at the Department of Biology at FCUP under the responsibility of the CIIMAR researcher Profª Sara Antunes.
The course was carried out within the scope of the "REDEFINE: A MULTI-SCALE AND MULTI-TIERED TOOLBOX FOR ASSESSING ECOSYSTEM QUALITY OF FRESHWATER RESERVOIRS: BRIDGING THE GAPS OF THE WATER FRAMEWORK DIRECTIVE APPROACH" (POCI-01-0145-FEDER-029368). In collaboration with professors and researchers at the University of Valencia, Profº Jesus Delegado, Profº Eduardo Vicente and the researchers Nieves Pasqualotto and Patricia Márquez, the course had the participation of 18 candidates, and it was intended that the participants actively applied the remote sensing tools in water quality of inland and coastal aquatic ecosystems.
The feedback from the candidates was very positive on the topics and content covered in the course, classifying it as very good, and extremely important in several environmental applications.
