BlueBioLab presented this week

CIIMAR is one of the seven scientific institutions in the Iberian Peninsula that are part of the BLUEBIOLAB project, presented this Tuesday at the Vigués campus by the vice president of the Junta de Galicia, Alfonso Rueda, the Dean of the University of Vigo, Manuel Reigosa, and the Director of Campus do Mar, Daniel Rey.
The main objective is to bring together research infrastructures from Galicia and Northern Portugal to place the Euroregion at the forefront of marine biotechnology. The project, part of the Interreg V-2014-2020 program, has a budget of 1,122,152 euros and will focus on research in aquaculture, biotechnology, development of new bioactive compounds and biomaterials of marine origin, among other activities.
