FutureMARES is an EU-funded research project under the H2020, that aims to examine the relations between climate change, marine biodiversity and ecosystem services. By conducting research and cooperating with marine organizations and the public, this project intends to provide science-based policy advice on how best to use Nature-based Solutions to protect future biodiversity and ecosystem services in a future climate.

September 1st was the starting date of this new project that was the participation of several CIIMAR researchers. Researcher Isabel Sousa-Pinto integrates the Steering Committee and other CIIMAR researchers, such as Francisco Arenas and Marina Dolbeth are also part of the consortium.
