The Guide for Comprehensive Ecological Sanitation (Guia para o Saneamento Ecológico Integral) is now available as part of the EcoSan project, promoted by Instituto Politécnico de Viana do Castelo in partnership with CIIMAR and Portal da Constrição Sustentável, and supported by the Environmental Fund of the Ministry of Environment and Climate Action.

This guide aims to contribute to the promotion of the integral ecological sanitation model, based on solutions inspired by Nature, namely “dry or low flow toilets” and “floating islands / plant beds” and to encourage the adoption of more sustainable practices in the efficient use of water and nutrient recycling.
