CIIMAR researchers published the study "SARS-CoV-2 RNA detected in urban wastewater from Porto, Portugal: Method optimization and continuous 25-week monitoring" at STOTEN research journal.

 

The study shows that SARS-CoV-2 RNA was detected in liquid and solid wastewater fractions. The study also shows s good fit between SARS-CoV-2 RNA in raw wastewater and COVID-19 cases.
