One Ocean Science launching today

The Ocean Decade activity OneOceanScience takes place today, oct 25.

One Ocean Science is a platform for scientists from all over the world to get the word out & share why their work is critical to better understand and address climate change's effects on the ocean. It is organized by the French Research Institute for Marine Science and Technology (IFREMER) with the support of the French National Center for Scientific Research (CNRS) and the French Institute of Research for Development (IRD). The main objective of this campaign is to raise awareness amongst the general public.

More than thirty foreign scientific institutions, including CIIMAR, have agreed to participate.

Launched the week before COP26, this digital world tour is supported by the Ocean-Climate platform and will open Ocean Action Day at COP26, on November 5, 2021. OneOceanScience is part of the Ocean-Climate priority research program funded by the French National Research Agency (ANR), and we’re delighted to be endorsed by the United Nations Decade of Ocean Sciences for Sustainable Development.
