Today was the first meeting of the Ocean3R project from CIIMAR.

The project aims to contribute to the Mission area “Healthy oceans, seas, coastal and inland waters”, at a regional and global level, through the development of solutions to reduce anthropogenic pressures on marine and freshwater ecosystems, and to restore and regenerate degraded habitats along the NW-Portuguese coast. It encompasses an interdisciplinar team of resarchers from marine biotechnology, aquaculture, oceanography, marine energy, marine ecossystems both coastal and deep-sea, nature based solutions for bioremediation of habitats among others.

This was also the first oportunity of the students under Ocean3R to present their first work on the project and present scince communication products on their topics.
