CIIMAR has been on the news with the work of the the researcher Jean-Baptiste Ledoux on the heatwaves causing mass mortality in the biodiversity of the Mediterranean Sea. 

These are results of a study with the contribution of 30 research teams around the world revealing the drastic effect of marine heatwaves on Mediterranean marine biodiversity only in the last 5 years. Check the paper here.
