Aquaculture feeds of wine, olive oil and beer sub products

A project led by CIIMAR with the unique partnership of the CEB - Centre of Biological Engineering that was responsible for establishing the fermentation that allows the production aquaculture feeds of from subproducts from wine, olive oil and beer production.

 

The SPO3 project allowed the creation of a new line of research at CIIMAR, at the interface between biotechnology, nutrition and quality in aquaculture fish. The team has just submitted a biotechnology patent, concerning an innovation that promises to make the aquaculture sector more sustainable and to have an impact on the circulareconomy of the agro-food industries.
