João Morais is currently the Blue Biotechnology and Ecotoxicology Culture Collection (LEGE-CC) curator. He holds a BsC in Biology and a MsC in Water Quality. His main research interests focus on cyanobacteria diversity and systematic for culture collections. He participated in several projects such as NoMorFilm, Cyancan and Novomar that focus on cyanobaterial pharmacological and biotechnological applications. João's main tasks focus on the isolation and characterization of cyanobacteria and microalgae from LEGE-CC and also in the maintenance and management of the culture collection.
