João Machado obtained in 2007 the graduation in Biology by the Faculty of Sciences and Technology of the University of Coimbra. In 2014, he concluded the PhD degree by Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences (ICBAS) under the Graduate Program of Marine and Environmental Sciences. He obtained is graduation in Computer Engineer by Porto Superior Institute of Engineering (ISEP) in 2016. He is currently a researcher at CIIMAR. His main research interest focus rely on the study of the molecular mechanisms underlying adaptation and genome architecture.
