Luísa Maria Pinheiro Valente is Associated professor in ICBAS–UP since 2003. She holds a degree in Biology from UP since 1990 and a PhD in Biological Sciences from the University of Trás-os-Montes e Alto Douro since 1999. Is member of the Directive Board of CIIMAR since 2016 where she leads the Biology, Aquaculture and Seafood Quality Research line. Has over 100 publications in international journals and close collaboration with industrial partners (scientific director of the Animal Science Doctoral programme in an Industrial setting – SANFEED).
