Maria Leonor Nunes (MSc, PhD), principal scientist, is presently leader of Safe and Healthy Seafood and Sustainable Consumption Group at CIIMAR. She has strong experience on seafood preservation/processing and seafood quality and safety, including risk-benefit assessment and laboratory management. She has published >200 peer_reviewed articles and >20 book chapters (H_index 33 3553 citations). She has expertise in leadership positions in EU and national projects. She has been member of research councils, advisory groups and editorial boards of scientific journals on food and technology areas. She has long experience in teaching activities and in the collaboration with industry and industry associations.
