Paulo M. R. Vaz-Pires, graduated in aquatic biology in 1986, obtained a PhD in Biotechnology at ESB/UCP in 1996 and is associated professor at ICBAS and researcher at ICBAS and CIIMAR (both from U. Porto, Portugal). He published 57 scientific articles and book chapters in the main areas of seafood technology, quality, safety, welfare and management of residues.
