Ana Bio is a biologist who obtained her PhD at Utrecht University, the Netherlands, with a thesis on statistical species-environment modelling. Since then, her research interests evolved in the fields of data and image analyses and, more recently, underwater (bio-) acoustics. Presently, as Assistant Researcher at the CIIMAR Coastal and Ocean Dynamics group, her research focuses on coastal topo-morphodynamics and risk assessment, using remote sensing data from airborne photography and satellites and geographical information systems
