Francisco Pascoal studies the rare biosphere, with focus on marine and polar environments, from the point of view of molecular microbial ecology. He holds a bachelor degree in Cell and Molecular Biology, from the Nova University of Lisbon and a master of science degree in Microbiology, from the University of Lisbon. Currently, Francisco is working on the Nitrolimit project.
