Mariana is a PhD student working on marine Actinobacteria bioprospection for the discovery of novel biotechnologically relevant natural products. She took her BSc in Aquatic Sciences (2016) from ICBAS-UP and MSc in Cell and Molecular Biology (2018) from FCUP, both institutions from the University of Porto, Portugal.
