Raul Valente was graduated in Biology in 2015 and got his master’s degree in Biodiversity, Genetics and Evolution both in Faculty of Sciences, University of Porto. In 2019, he started his PhD dedicated to use genomic approaches to address physiological adaptations and population structure in cetaceans. The work has been developed at LBC and AGE laboratories from CIIMAR, together with the Oceanic Observatory of Madeira (ARDITI) and MARE from Madeira.
