Ana Soares graduated in Aquatic Sciences in 2019 at the University of Porto and is currently pursuing a MSc in Applied Marine Biology at the University of Aveiro. Her research is focused on developing a baseline of fishers’ local ecological knowledge on the spatial occurrence of deep-sea vulnerable marine species and ecosystems of the Portuguese mainland shelf and slope.
