Daniel Salvaterra Fonseca

Daniel Salvaterra is a biologist graduated in 2017 at University of Coimbra. In 2019 he obtained his Master’s Degree in Functional Biology and Plant Biotechnology at Faculty of Sciences of University of Porto, with a thesis entitled “Exploring the biotechnological potential of Cyanobium sp. pigments”. Currently, he works for the SITE Project with a MSc research grant, focusing on macroalgae as bioremediation solutions for aquaculture effluents. His main research interests are focused on algal biotechnology, namely in optimization of growth, pigments production, bioactivities assessment and applications for aquaculture.
