Alexandra has an MSc degree in Biology and Geology Teaching and a first degree in Biology (with minor in Geology), both concluded at the Faculty of Sciences of the University of Porto (FCUP). She was a member of the European project Erasmus+ "Geoethics Outcomes & Awareness Learning" (GOAL – ref. 2017-1-PT01-KA203-035967). Currently, she is a student of the PhD Program in Science Teaching and Dissemination (expertise in Science Teaching) at FCUP, with a thesis entitled "Geoethics in Sustainable Development: implementation and evaluation of a syllabus in higher education" funded by the Portuguese national funding agency for science, research, and technology (FCT – ref. SFRH/BD/137852/2018). Her research interests focused on bringing geoethics to higher education to make future geosciences scientists and teachers aware of its importance for the sustainable living on of Earth.
