Aldo Barreiro Felpeto is currently a FCT researcher at CIIMAR, in the BBE group. He received his degree in Biology in 2001 (Universidade de Vigo, Spain) and his Ph.D. degree in 2007 (Departmento de Ecoloxía, Universidade de Vigo). He also performed Post-doc stays in 2008-2010 at Cornell University (New York, USA) and 2011-2017 at CIIMAR. His main research interest is plankton ecology, more specifically: population ecology (predator-prey interactions), chemical ecology (allelopathy and phytoplankton toxins) and also as tools for the analysis of these systems, dynamic modelling and statistical programming.
